Hard times forcing families apart on holidays

- Just like last Christmas, I'm still homeless and moneyless nearly 1000 miles from the nearest family.  I try not to think about the holidays at all and treat them like any other day.

- 2008 was a hard year for me.  I spent the year recovering from surgeries while living in my vehicle.  The bank took my home in 2007 after I hurt my back.  I can walk again now, and drive for short distances, so I hope to make my way back to Michigan next summer to see my …
